This is a sound design project for the exhibition “Taiwan New Wave” by alamak!project in Paris, France 2019. Entire track is filled with sound of water and breathing underwater, giving the overall atmosphere that filled the entire venue, and echoed to the exhibition’s main art-film that was shot underwater.

Taiwan is an island surrounded by sea, it is humid and rainy, the intention is to bring the climate experience to the audiences in Paris, an inland city inside Europe, when entered the exhibition.The exhibition place is spacious with sunlight shine from the rooftop, the natural, organic, diversity of the exhibition, breathing rhythm and motion in the water were the elements I wanted to grasp.

I mixed the underwater sound and samples from Taiwan's daily life: street, environment and even temples, then transformed and composed together with a bit of melody lines, making the whole environment sound less monotonous, also reflects the diversity of the exhibiting artists from different fields and presented artworks in different ways. The music was played throughout the entire exhibition, making the exhibitions consisted with artworks from 12 artists into one completed experience.
