Its always great working with the Libra and team at Camera Revolution, something I seem to have been doing since 1990 back in the Camel Trophy days when it was just Nick and Dan working out of a wee shed at Shepperton Studios. Anyway this time it was a quick jaunt down to Cornwall to work on the new Netflix project Cursed which has just been released with the Tyr Arm mounted to the roof of Robin.
This was the first time I had had experience of this particular crane rig on the Can Am and as a package it worked really well indeed. With the crane positioned mid way on the roll cage bars above the cab of the vehicle we were able to get a complete 360 degree move around the vehicle from ground level to about a 15'/ 3m lens height.
Coupled with the off road ability of the Robin this made for a really versatile camera tracking and re positioning crane base combination. Given it size when we weren't doing tracking shots we found we were packed off to different areas around the set and location to get other shots that would have taken a while to set up.
Really looking forward to working with the Tyr Arm again.
