I am Salima Fassil and over the long time that i have known Meera Kaul, she has connected, enabled and made women empowerment possible. I know her through her contribution to the TechWomen Program of the State Department. I have mentored and been a huge part of MKF as well. I even traveled to Middle East to be a part of the outreach with MKF..
Hi, my name is Salima and I have known Meera since 2012, I’ve known Meera as a friend, mentor and someone I can look up to. She has welcomed me and my family to her house and life, she’s always been there for me whenever I needed advice and someone to talk to. I have been volunteered with MKF which is the foundation that Meera has founded since the beginning and Meera doesn’t seize to amaze me with her wonderful energy and true passion advance women and help them grow.

Meera gave me the opportunity to speak in a conference in the middle east, for a conference that she has set up and that gave me the opportunity to connect with women in the middle east and help grow them and for me Meera is like family.

MOTO :
The objective here is to inspire women to step into, which have predominantly been male dominated industries, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). This competition aims to enthuse women to be more entrepreneurial and empowering them with the necessary business skills needed to be entrepreneurs.

Women in STEM, an initiative by Meera Kaul Foundation, will recognize and reward women entrepreneurs and executives at the Women in STEM Conference and Awards Ceremony which will be held in Dubai on January 15th, 2015.

The initiative offers STEM entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their inspirational stories, personal and professional, in the form of a two minute video. The contestants can record their video even from their cell phones. The winners will be selected on the basis of their promoting ambition and resilience and not the success or failure of the venture or job. The videos will be aired at Women in STEM Awards 2015
