Welcome to the real world of Klean Industries where this video shows just one of our processes used for the recovery of valuable resources such as fuel oil and recovered carbon that also produced combined heat and power at the same time.

This plant was designed, engineered and manufactured by the Klean Team and shows Klean’s technology just one of our plants from our IP portfolio in action. This clearly illustrates that our technologies were commercially operating decades before any of Klean’s so called competitive vendors even existed.

This facility uses our hybrid pyrolysis and gasification system and was built in 1989. The facility is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Materials that co-owns the facility with Toyotomi-Sangyo Inc who operated the plant for 22 years.

This plant was the world first’s fully integrated automotive recycling center where end-of-life vehicles were fully dismantled and completely recycled in core commodities that were reintroduced back into their original supply chain; creating the circular economy long before the circular economy even existed or was a concept globally.

Funnily enough this video was produced on Betamax video tape as DVD and digital video had not been invented yet now that is what we call historical progress.

Another interesting feature of this facility was the implementation of a concept that provided a local community center with its heat and hot water, while at the same time a pilot facility was developed sequester the CO2 emissions by membrane removal of CO2 emissions from the flue gases that provided food grade CO2 to local greenhouses for agricultural plant production that was co-combined with an integrated wastewater treatment facility that is so clean that it's used as a turtle habitat and breeding ground for a local university.

Now that you understand our DNA, you also understand why our name is “Klean Industries” and why what our team has been doing for decades illustrates our commercial success. Who knew you could convert end-of-life tires into high-grade commodities such as CO2e Credits, Fuel Oil, Recovered Carbon Black (rCB), and Pure Re-smelted Aluminum; the Klean Team did.
