FoGall is aimed to provide nice directory based photo gallery with simple uploader.That means you can upload and organise photos on filesystem and have them as-is (new gallery = new subdirectory).
Simple uploader is provided for quick inserts into directory you want without FTP /SSH client.
There is also option to disallow listing files in some directories (eg. you can set up /priv/ to be so and you can make gallery with unpredictable name like /priv/secret_gallery_7642314976215 and send such link to friend - without bruteforce system won't show you that files).
This software is remix of Simple Metro PHP Gallery (SMPG) and Plupload released under GPLv3.
It is written in pure PHP with some htaccess files to be run on most webservers.
