A lively waterfront residential area just 10 minutes from downtown San Francisco, South Beach sits on the edge of the San Francisco Bay. It’s the prime stomping grounds of many of the city’s young professionals. The area features several parks and many bars and restaurants, and it’s known for being very pedestrian-friendly. Several bus lines and a light rail service make it possible to commute to downtown in under half an hour, and a nearby Caltrain station connects South Beach to cities south of San Francisco.
Those on the hunt for real estate in South Beach will find mostly luxury condos built in trendy, contemporary buildings. Schools serving the area encompass both private and public and are well regarded. On the southern end of town is Oracle Park, a baseball stadium and home to the San Francisco Giants.
