Follow an immunization team from the Karen Department of Health and Welfare as they travel to remote, conflict-affected villages in Kayin (Karen) State, Myanmar, to immunize children.
For decades, children living in Myanmar's conflict-affected regions have been denied lifesaving immunization. However, an ongoing peace process between the Government of Myanmar and ethnic nationalities is gradually bringing change.
This film highlights groundbreaking cooperation, facilitated by Community Partners International (CPI), between the Myanmar Ministry of Health and Sports (MoHS) and ethnic health organization the Karen Department of Health and Welfare (KDHW).
Together they are working to ensure that every child in contested areas of Kayin State can access immunization.
