To kickoff the beginning of snow sports season with the collegiate consumer, we partnered with the University of Vermont for Dawn of the Shred (DOTS). This event is a rail jam that's focused on preseason skiing and riding with an emphasis on community and culture. The purpose of this rail jam was to let students showcase their skills, bring the UVM and other colleges snow sports communities together to celebrate starting the season. We worked cross-functionally with Sports Marketing to activate a Red Bull Athlete, Zeb Powell. He is shaping the way the future of snowboarding is going. Prior to DOTS, Zeb drove in to hang out one-on-one in Ski and Snow Clubhaus with students where they had the opportunity to get his autograph and take pictures. At the DOTS event, Zeb took over the official University of Vermont Instagram and was featured as a Snowboard Judge for the 30 athletes from UVM, St. Michael's, and Champlain. Zeb was able to hang out with the skiers and riders following the awards. The Ski and Snowboard Club (SSC) said that this was their highest attended event ever, because of bringing in a Red Bull athlete and the event build out, elevating the status of DOTS!
