A game played, loved, enjoyed all over the world. A game for all classes, and ethnic groups. Politics, religion and finance do not play a factor with lovers of this game. I became a fan of Soccer much later then most football lovers.
Growing up in the USA baseball, and American football were my primary interest. European Soccer came to me when I was an adult, living in Austria.
Soccer is a game that gives one constant visual excitement, having very little pause, or interruption, compared to other team sports. Every four years the gathering of nations perform for the world. Thirty two teams from all over the world come together in peaceful harmony and give to the world, a splendid example of what the world is capable of doing together, if they really try!
I decided that I would like being part of this adventure, and present how these teams through my own personal visual format have come to be.
I was not interested in illustrating the game, but more interested in presenting each countries roots, beginning with the music, cuisine, dance, through sciences and the various art forms, how they have contributed in making each of these countries unique and special.
Through my work as a visual artist, I hope to bring something fresh and agreeable to this marvelous game.
