The R33 is a fabled iteration of the Nissan Skyline. Its updated chassis, improved interior ergonomics, and hefty displacement bump allowed this generation to redefine the brand. While some have shunned it as the boat of the Skyline family, it comes in at less than a 250lbs difference. Combine all that with the more powerful RB25 and it actually becomes one of the best driving skylines of the bunch. The slightly longer/wider stance gives it superior handling and ride comfort. Our late-model '94 comes to us largely all stock which can be hard to track down in this day in age. Perfect for the purist or those looking for a blank slate to work from. Finished in no doubt one of the most desired color options, Cloud White (QM1) this Type-M lives up to its heritage. The paint shows particularly well, free of any fading or clear coat etching. That's not to say there aren't a few typical stone chips and minor paint imperfections as it is a 26 year old car after all. The body has been kept up equally well save a few typical door dings. However, with 127K verified miles that should come as no surprise.

The more robust platform of the R33 had some benefits trickle down to the interior; the increased chassis stiffness lends itself to fewer squeaks and rattles, making this a nice daily driver option. The seats are in great shape, far nicer than most vehicles half its age. The bolstering is better than the prior models, and provide great support over long haul road trips. While the rear seats appear to have hardly ever been used, like with most all sport coupes. Overall the interior has been kept pretty much all stock. There is a mechanical Blitz boost gauge mounted atop the steering column to keep an accurate eye on boost levels. Aside from the Alpine double din the rest of the interior is original and in fair shape. Some of the spots to note; there are two screws in the center console from a screen previously mounted and the driver's side door panel has some excessive wear. Where the driver's arm would rest on the door has broken down over time from wear and caused a bit of distortion which you can see in the photos. These did come equipped with all of the creature comforts of the time; power windows, mirrors, locks, and automatic climate control. As you would expect everything is working as it should.

Of course, the power plant in this R33 Skyline is the RB25DET which is famous for being not only reliable but also easy to make more power if desired. The turbocharged straight 6 fires up quickly and idles silky smooth. Acceleration is powerful and brisk under boost, just like you'd expect out of one of Nissan's most iconic vehicles. Like the rest of the car, it's been kept largely stock under the hood. The factory air box was ditched for a reuseable intake which helps open up the turbo and is almost a necessity on a boosted car. The same goes for the Fujitsubo high flow exhaust, not only does it help free up a little power it really lets the RB sing. Shifts through the 5-speed transmission are smooth and drama-free in send the power outback. While the stock suspension is plenty capable a set of Tein coilovers helps to dial in the ride a bit more. Reducing some of that dreaded wheel gap helps visually just as much as it does when the road gets windy. To make sure the car is up to our standards our trained techs have done a fair bit of the expensive maintenance. New tires sit at all four corners, a fresh battery, a new thermostat, and the key timing belt and water pump. Now that there's peace of mind going forward this coupe is ready for whatever the road has ahead of it. Nissan built this sports car to stand the test of time. Its versatility allows this platform to be just as capable of tearing up back roads as it is pulling daily duty.
