Jen Halls is a Systems Designer in the Design for Learning studio at IDEO.
Jen brings a range of experience improving outcomes for students and teachers across the education sector. She taught Algebra II in Memphis, helped reimagine human resources at the Boston Public Schools with a focus on efficacy and equity, led implementation training, product management, and marketing at an edtech startup, and supported districts through Internet infrastructure upgrades to make digital learning accessible to students. Jen also has an insatiable entrepreneurial spirit. She runs a photography business, launched a fast casual sushi restaurant with three friends, and started a photography program for survivors of domestic violence.
Jen holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and a BA in Public Policy from Duke University. (57-minute video)
