A Special Zoom Fireside

Introduction:
In this special zoom fireside, we hope to provide you with more "bridges connecting science with gospel truths" (Elder Stevenson, Apr 2021). The principles that govern healthy and happy relationships are as reliable as the principles that govern the flight of airplanes. While it is true that an airplane can get off the ground with a minimal application of correct aerodynamic principles, it still is at risk of crashing. Engineers have been able, over time, to discover and implement the principles of aerodynamics to the point that almost all airplanes can successfully fly without crashing, even through some difficult conditions. The same can be true for relationships. Correctly applied gospel truths with accurate science can greatly strengthen and stabilize marriages and confidently train marital pilots. The key is to know what they are.

In order to discover the strongest principles for building healthy relationships, for over 30 years, we have studied psychology and relationship science while also carefully studying the scriptures and over 50 years of General Conference talks. We have carefully refined the teaching process of these principles through thousands of marriage therapy sessions and workshops. We want to pass these principles on to you so your relationships will fly strong and secure.

These principles have been condensed into what we now call:

Maurice W. Harker, CMHC
-Maurice started studying the bridges connecting science to gospel truths 33 years ago when someone he met in the mission field asked him, "What does this (gospel) have to do with my real life issues?" Not knowing the answer as a young missionary drove him to find answers over the next 3 decades. Diligent study of the 4 Standard Works and 50 years of General Conference talks while acquiring a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Master's in Professional Counseling, licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), opening Life Changing Services (2005), creating the Sons of Helaman program (2005), writing and publishing "Like Dragons Did They Fight" and "I'm Not Okay, You're Not Okay, And That's Okay", creating the WORTH group, the Eternal Warriors program, the Men of Moroni program, formulating and teaching the multimedia "Lazarus Lectures" and the Marriage Repair Workshops (2017) have all laid a foundation for what he hopes to share with you on 23 May, 2021.
