First graders in Ms. Reese's class have been studying pill bugs, observing their behavior and noting whether they were rollers (they tuck into a small ball when touched ) or hikers (they make a getaway when touched). They also tested what happened when their bugs were placed on a variety of surfaces. The first graders had a great time studying their bugs, even rescuing them from the floor when they tried to make a run for it and fell inside the table gap!
