Red Cross Training Services courses are based on International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) Treatment Recommendations. Hear about the new treatment recommendation from one of our Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council experts, who is also the ILCOR First Aid Task Force Chair. These recommendations are based on the ILCOR task forces evaluating evidence, developing a consensus on the science with treatment recommendations. Then these recommendations are used to create guidelines for resuscitation and first aid that is integrated into Red Cross education and training curriculum. Watch this video to hear about the new treatment recommendations regarding syncope, bag masks and use of epinephrine for cardiac arrest.
