Russell Kling is a healthcare professional inspired by scientific findings. Currently, he is set to complete his internal medicine training at the Allegheny Health Network in June 2021. Upon finishing this, he will also be Board Eligible in both Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. He already has a number of accomplishments under his belt, both professionally and academically.

Russell has been very active in the plastic surgery sector of healthcare throughout his education. He acted as a research fellow in the plastic surgery department at his college, later completing an internship and residency in plastic surgery. Russell has written a great number of peer-reviewed articles regarding plastic surgery and was even awarded by the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2012 for having the Best Scientific Publication. This article focused heavily on his findings regarding adipose-derived stem cells.

More recently, Russell Kling has focused on internal medicine. He had another internship and residency, this time in the internal medicine department at the Allegheny Health Network. Moving forward, he hopes to use his adipose cell research to contribute to obesity studies. He has a passion for adult primary care, more specifically in obesity medicine. Russell enjoys learning about new ways to combat the obesity epidemic many adults are suffering from. As someone who truly cares about his patients’ needs, he strives to use his research to bring out the best possible outcome for each individual.

Whenever there are new trends or scientific breakthroughs in the industry, Russell ensures that he is caught up on the information. He enjoys keeping up with these new findings, especially in how it impacts internal medicine. If there is anything that has the potential to change his field, Russell ensures that he is knowledgeable on the subject. Whether it be new payment models, diagnostic or therapeutics, Russell’s patients can rest knowing he has educated himself to the fullest on the topic.

Outside of his passionate career, Russell enjoys trying new foods, traveling and spending time with his wife and child.
