A slam piece written, and originally performed, in Potsdam, New York.

"Life Lessons" tells the story of a chance encounter, and how a stranger can become a friend, teach you life lessons, and change the path of your life.

Have you ever met someone and had them change your life? How about learning a lesson from someone you didn't imagine would teach you something?

This is no rap battle - this is slam poetry at its finest (hopefully)!

Whether you are interested in poetry, or you love live performance and/or art, or you want to hear a little bit of a rant, it is my hope this film will entertain you.

There is something amazing in seeing the immediate response to something you have written, practiced, and recited alone. Once you stand up in front of an audience, it is no longer just 'your' piece, it is as much 'theirs'. The energy builds, the crowd either joins you and gives you their support, or they hold back and you get nothing. Its a great rush - and risk.
