My 10-Day Final Project is called MySchool. Coming into devCodeCamp from an administrative role in an early childhood education center, I realized that there was a software gap in web applications designed for schools, often leaving teachers, administrators, and parents using disparate platforms to communicate and store data. This ASP.NET MVC web application was designed to link the different needs of these roles by connecting them with a classroom news feed while allowing administrative access to all data points. Parents are able to complete fillable forms to which teachers and administrators are required to have access by the state of Wisconsin. Administrators are able to post directly to classroom news feeds, as well as email parents and teachers with important information and updates. Future iterations will include the ability to upload photos, both for profiles and for news feeds, and a text message system for administrators.
