Taking its Foundation on Firouz FarmanFarmaian's 2020 Palais Aziza Marrakech retrospective, this NFT collection links to one of three of the curated spaces of the TRACE exhibition, Guardians of Memory. The Term was previously coined and used by Lebanese Poet Sophie Abou Chahine to highlight FarmanFarmaian's relation to the role of women in rites related to the passage of memory, a central thematic in the artist's Post-Tribal exploration.

This collection will reunite cross-media elements such as paintovers, videos and sound at times using VR technology ( on the Oculus Quest II headset in order to produce VR editions ) united by a common motif : the place of women in FarmanFarmaian's work.

JRFA LAB is a 6 month collaborative dematerialized experiment reuniting curator Janet Rady and Artist Firouz FarmanFarmaian. To step into the crypto sphere navigating the new frontiers : NFT & VR.
