In my family, careers in art are rarely pursued. The lack of creative outlets for artistic creativity and a science/business based national education system led to a stifling of my artistic instincts. However, over the years, I realized that I did not enjoy accounting. Uncertain of my future, I began to focus my energies on Fine Arts and as a result decided to apply for VCU Arts. As my imagination opened on to paper, I realized that Fine Arts is what I want to pursue as a career.
