Jay talks with Tal Shalom-Kobi.Tal is a musician, music educator, and the founder and director of Women in World Jazz—a group of female musicians specializing in world jazz paying special tribute to female composers and vocalists from different eras and countries. During the program, we’ll be learning why and how Women in World Jazz came about and how it’s grown, developed, and operates today. In addition, we’ll enjoy some of their selections and, in the process, come to better understand and appreciate the talented group’s overall mission and the wide-range of their engaging performances and what audiences can look forward to at their concerts.
