There's a real buzz around science at Pukeoware School thanks to student beekeepers at Waiuku College.
They've given the primary school a beehive, queen and colony, and training to care for them as part of their SouthSci project investigating cloning of queen bees.
The Waiuku College beekeeping group aims to provide queen bees, with their colonies and hives, and apiculture training to 10 local primary schools.
Thanks to Franklin County Beekeepers Association, Plant & Food Research, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. Students started this project for the Manukau Beautification Trust's 2017 Tiaki Expo.
