Aaron Mrotek is a conservationist and naturalist, inspired by all things nature. See how he evolved from a career in media as an account executive to a passionate and skilled conservationist and research scientist.

Now, an Environmental Steward at The Nature Conservancy Aaron works to manage a nature preserve in a remote canyon in Arizona. His work spans many disciplines working on various restoration projects to improve wildlife habitat, watershed functions and biodiversity in a unique and beautiful perennial stream in Aravaipa Canyon.

Because of his unconventional path, Aaron is bold in the face of unforeseen setbacks and is empowered by “boots on the ground” work where he applies his diverse experiences in volunteerism and research to solve environmental challenges.
