Matrix Charging is an automated conductive charging technology. The system consists of a vehicle unit attached on the vehicle’s underbody (Matrix Charging Connector) and an infrastructure unit at the parking space (Matrix Charging Pad). Once the vehicle has parked above the pad, the connector lowers from the vehicle’s underbody and connects to the pad on the parking space. The vehicle is then automatically charged over the conductive connection.
The Matrix Charging Pad can be integrated flush into the parking ground and is a robust and barrier-free element on the parking ground that is easy to install and maintain. It also can be rolled out in densely populated areas.
