American Sign Language 1 MONOLOGUE PROJECT
Here’s a surprise for you all. I had to do an American Sign Language Monologue Project for my ASL 1 class. So I decided to share with you!
*Please note that ASL grammar is not the same as English grammar.*
(The numbers are off… ) My professor wanted us to have fun with it and use 3-digit numbers… so this is what I came up with! :)
I sign 12 sentences:
1. Hello, my name is Diana Van Winkle, and I am taking American Sign Language 1.
2. My teacher is female, and her name is Brian Dirrim.
3. I go to school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I like to learn.
4. I am taking 5 classes: ASL, English, Spanish, Math, and Science. My favorite class is ASL.
5. Every week I walk to school.
6. I’m taking 178 classes with my 289 friends at school.
7. I am 167 years old.
8. I have 676 brothers and 898 sisters.
9. I live with my siblings and parents in a white house.
10. Every year, I (go) visit my grandparents and we always have dinner. They are 79 years old.
11. I have not dated for 168 months.
12. I work at home. I have a lot of chores. I study school, and I help my family for 969 weeks.
