Anne Zimmerman and Tiarra Meier wanted to see if there was a connection between traditional farming methods, soil biology and reduced pasture production. They chemically analysed six plots of soil and then applied chemical and biological amendments to increase soil health and tested the soil again after five months. They found biological amendments were the most successful in restoring the soil.
