Dozent: Ludwig Zeller In my project I want to reflect the feelings and struggles of forgetting. Forgetting is in general a very important and essential filter for the brain to prioritize information. It helps to not be awfully overwhelmed by impressions all the time, theoretically it is a line interruption in the brain, where information gets over- or rewritten. Seen exactly, a calcium particle that does not interact with the following synapse. It acts like an error in the similar process of remembering and important information can get moved to the background. Held at a normal extend it is totally manageable and can happen to anyone. But it can also feel very confining, you are simply exposed to it and you feel powerless. Being forgetful makes you lose valuable objects, important meetings or even precious memories. My project is in form of a movie where I will guide through a series of animations and clips made with Artbreeder (deep learning), Cinema 4D, Text2Image and my camera to visualize this feeling of being at the mercy of my mind. Trying to reach information but never actually touching it, trying to recreate pictures that I will never know are real or not, and also trying to explain this vital phenomenon and showing its different theories.
