This was one of my favorite soul R&B songs during the summer of 1968, by one of the biggest local bands in Western New York and Ontario, Canada, Wilmer & The Dukes. The band often played as Wilmer Alexander & The Dukes at a Williamsville nightclub called The Inferno located at the Glen Park Casino complex in the late 60's. The club burned down on September 23, 1968 ... a tragic loss to the community. Many well known bands played there. This song was so popular that Buffalo AM radio super-station WKBW placed it on their second compilation of greatest rock and pop hits "WKBW · 30 Klassics," a double album I still own on vinyl to this day. It was also a big jukebox favorite I fondly recall hearing often at the beach. Sadly this song which got played and heard and loved internationally only made it to #78 at Cash Box on July 6, 1968 and at #80 on the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at #63 in Canada, but it will always be #1 with a bullet to those of us living in Western New York.

This was my first video using both still images and motion video/film footage mixed together. This mixing of both media would be the way I would make videos until August 2014 when I would begin to favor all motion footage and much less use of still images.
