Hamilton Remix Concept
In my Hamilton video remix, I chose to contrast the beauty of Hamilton that was shown in the video with the industrial backdrop that was also shown. By taking the video from the industrial parts of the video and placing the music and talking from the scenic parts of the clip on top of each other. Through this juxtaposition of the beautiful music and the descriptions of scenery that are obviously not what is being shown visually, we can really see how ugly and toxic the factory and waste in Hamilton is.
Conversely, when I flip it around and put the darker and more industrial music on top of the pretty images of Niagara Falls and Hamilton Harbor it creates a disconnect that confuses the viewer in a way that makes a point. By choosing images and talking that was related to water, I can really show the similarities/ differences between the two different aspects of Hamilton. Overall my concept of juxtaposing the two different aspects of Hamilton together I can make a statement about the industrial nature of Hamilton
