Psychedelic Eyes is a fun track on my first EP ‘OtherSide’. As I have grown up and realized the power of self love, I started to see negative patterns in my relationships, mainly in the types people I was choosing. I had a ‘let me fix you cause I don’t feel good enough but I don’t want to focus on my own problems’ mentality. This song came from a place of growth in being able to recognize the shallow superficial personalities of my past partners, figuring out why I wanted them but don’t need them and making the decision to never settle and always remember that I am enough. I am all I ever really need.
The video is a work of art by my talented producer Joey Paradis. We adventured down to Southern California to find the magic of the painted walls in Venice beach. I wanted to portray the ‘same’ me singing the lyrics with different backdrops. The different walls not only compliment the funky psychedelic vibe of the track but also represent all the past souls ‘behind me’ that pushed me to get to the mindset of these lyrics and where I am today.
