Songwriter Michael Gerard Ullrich wrote the song several years back while living in a 70-man sober living facility. The idea originated on the top bunk of a four-man room in a moment of despair when he realized that he was just plain tired of living. That notion evolved into the refrain 'I'm tired of living in places with names'
