The mind can be seen like an orchestra, playing out thoughts, emotions and memories like the notes and chords on an instrument. The sound in this work is a translation of Jaco's recorded brainwaves as they consciously and subconsciously played out while he was working on this painting.
His song can be revealed by hovering your hands before the canvas, you don't need to touch. This is a video of me interacting with the sound painting at the exhibition 'A Land I Name Yesterday, in Cape Town South Africa.'
