I wanted to explore how people interact with objects through destruction and reconstruction. I chose to present this concept in a video to directly present the dichotomy between the intended purpose of the chair and how it can be totally disregarded to create something new. The understood purpose of a chair is to be sat in, but the end product can’t be sat in at all. I used elements of performance art to make a more natural representation of repurposing an object through its demise and reconstruction. 3 minute, 6 minute, and 28 minute cuts of this video exist and will be uploaded in the future.
I do not own the song. The song is Untrue by Burial. All rights go to the fellas that own his music. I did edit the song though. Enjoy
