I shot and directed this series of promos for PRINCIPIA, a new ballet by Justin Peck with original music by Sufjan Stevens. Filmed at rehearsals a month prior to the premiere, the spots are an impressionistic document of the ballet taking shape. Photographed entirely on a Bolex H16 SBM camera on 16mm film. All speed effects and double-exposures created completely in-camera.
