Hey Guys,

It's me! It's Doug!

Now having shared a bit of my unorthodox process, what I really want to tell you about is the terrific year the Company just had! 

"everything is fine" at the New Ohio Theatre; "Lady in the Dark" at New York City Center with MasterVoices; our BAM season with all live music; and then, "Somewhere", to the orchestral sections from Leonard Bernstein’s masterpiece West Side Story, explores the sounds and rhythms of this iconic score. This means, No Tony/No Maria/No Anita/No Sharks/No Jets, and the critics and audience response has been thrilling. I can’t wait for you to see it! 

Obviously I am never on this journey alone: The company dancers, my primary partners in crime, allow my imagination to continually spill out of their bodies with grace and generosity; as well as all the important collaborators in the huge success of our last year: Musicians, composers, dancers, teachers, schools and universities, presenters, lighting designers, costume designers, administrators. They are heroes all!

I hope you will honor them with a donation to Doug Varone and Dancers and help us continue our forward momentum into 2020.
