As a Showrunner and Director, Michael is responsible for the series All Star Celebrity Bowling for AMC, Baldwin Hills and Harlem Heights for BET, The Real Housewives of Miami for Bravo, Country’s Most Shocking, CMT Got Me In With The Band, and Fast Living for CMT; for the specials Set In Skin, Inside Out: Nelly, Graveside Groupies, and Totally Obsessed for VH1, Hips, Lips, and Genderbenders: MTV’s History of Sex and All Star Update for MTV, and Stone Country, Where Christmas Goes, and Peace In The Valley for TNN; and for the pilots Paint Misbehavin’ for TLC, Chocolate City for MTV, Lee + Lani for WE tv, Cigarettes & Chocolate Milk for Logo, , and Have You Heard About The Hutchinsons? for E!.

He produced and directed music specials as diverse as Where Music Meets Film: Live from Sundance, The Jon Brion Show, 100 Miles Or More: Alison Krauss, Will The Circle Be Unbroken for PBS, and many more.

McNamara is the recipient of a CMA Video of The Year Award for Junior Brown’s My Wife Thinks You’re Dead, a Clio Award for Best Political Ad for John Kerry’s Hardware, a Nashville Music Awards Video of The Year for The Mavericks’ There Goes My Heart, as well as numerous awards for music videos, documentaries, commercials, and title sequences. His short films have garnered many top awards at film festivals that include The New York Film Festival, American Film & Video Festival, Golden Rose of Montreux, New England Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Houston Film Festival, and Sinking Creek Film Festival.
