What services does your company provide?: I am a singer-songwriter based in Jacksonville, FL. I provide entertainment services, singing at local restaurants, weddings and private parties and other venues.

Short company description: Godiva Music is the company behind 18-year-old singer and recording artist Godiva Simonic.

What makes your company unique?: My company is unique in that I can sing music from a wide variety of genres- from pop to southern rock and blues, to country, soul and classic standards - I have music that will entertain just about any crowd. I also write and record my own original music within the trop rock genre and pop. My single "Key West" landed on Radio A1As Trop 40 and I'm releasing another trop rock single "Married to the Blue" on May 7th. The music video, which was filmed in Oahu, Hawaii, will be available on YouTube May 7th as well.
How do you define success?: Success is taking something you love doing and making a career out of it. If you love what you're doing, you never work a day in your life!

What is a tip for success that you would provide someone in your same industry?: Take the gig. No matter how big or small, paying or not. Take the gig. More times than not, networking and experience are worth more in this industry than the paycheck.

What is your favorite type of event to be involved with and why?: I love being involved in full band shows. I currently tour with the Forever Johnny Cash: A Musical Tribute show as "June." We perform in theaters and other arenas with a full band, light show, everything! It is so much fun.

How have you and your company handled the COVID-19 situation?: During quarantine I used livestream concerts on Facebook and Instagram to keep busy. I also spent that time writing music. I organized and performed a Facebook Live benefit concert for The Catty Shack Ranch during quarantine to help raise funds for the big cats. It was kind of nice having time to focus on other ways to use my singing to help others and continue growing. Now, as things are opening up, I am performing again more locally. One major change I've made is I always use my own microphone lol. I also follow whatever guidelines each individual business has in place for their guests. People are so appreciative of live music making a comeback. It's been really wonderful to reunite with fans I haven't seen in over a year.
