One of or my favorite shorts I've ever created, I See Red pays homage to Giallo horror. I particularly wanted to create a film that was scary as well as fun. Contemporary horror takes itself so seriously to a point of determent and I wanted to create something that audiences could laugh, scream and cheer for. I See Red was a big passion project of mine which I am immensely proud of. I can't thank my lovely cast and crew enough! They were super stars in the creation process and were fundamental in the creative development of the project.
I was heavily inspired from films like Suspiria (1977), The Red Queen Kills Seven Times (1972), Black Belly of the Tarantula (1971) and more. I directed this film to feel uneven. An emotional unevenness that made you feel on edge and perturbed. I could talk on and on but I'll cut it there. Thank you for taking the time to watch and I hope you enjoy!
