Fledra Hamilton passed away on July 11, 2021 at home. Fledra was born in March of 1930 in Portsmouth Ohio to Estelle and Leander Patton. In 1947 she married the love of her life Gene Hamilton. Gene and Fledra moved to Detroit, then Phoenix where their son Lonnie Hugh was born (now deceased) by 1950 they settled in the small town of Tucson where Gene opened a Real Estate office which Fledra managed. Throughout their marriage they worked together side by side for 67 years rarely spending a day apart. Both Gene and their daughter Fonda were “joiners” and Fledra was always there to support them. After the loss of her husband Fledra moved to Atria Campana Del Rio where she found a new life and was very involved in the community as an Ambassador, a member of the Cheer Group (visiting those hospitalized), worked making sandwiches and sleeping mats for the homeless. She also started work on her lifelong dream to play guitar. Fledra loved dancing and country music. She was a talented folk artist, wood worker, seamstress and needleworker.
