All singing, all dancing mayhem broke out during the End of Term 2 Assembly, when around one thousand students and staff, including Senior Leadership and Faculty Heads, launched into a production number fit for Broadway!
The musical eruption left much of the Senior School in shock, as the entire Junior School – including our very enthusiastic Preps - leapt from their seats and joined in the choreography.
Leadership, teaching staff and students had been rehearsing in secret in the lead up to the assembly, with the help of the cast of the College’s upcoming musical Guys & Dolls and Head of Lawson House, Alison Ward.
There was dancing in the aisles as the flash mob cast began belting out ‘Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat’.
The flash mob doubled as a promotion for the College musical, which opens 15 July at the Dawn Lang Performing Arts Centre. Tickets are still available via the College website. abpat.qld.edu.au/services/dlpac-event-bookings
