A live stage-adapted version of Extended Play, an augmented reality work for vinyl records, performed as part of Harvest Chicago Contemporary Dance Festival (HCCDF) at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts in Chiago, IL on Oct 8 & 9, 2021. A live dancers movements are tracked in real-time by an Azure Kinect camera, which animates a character on the top of a playing vinyl record via augmented reality image recognition. This character dances with another character, driven by a prerecorded sequence, programmed in the Unity game engine.
