Don & the Goodtimes were a Pacific Northwest group formed in 1965 by Don Gallucci (keyboards), formerly of The Kingsmen ("Louie Louie"). In 1967 they began playing as the house band for Dick Clark's TV shows and released a single, "I Could Be So Good To You," which peaked at #76 on Cash Box and #56 on Billboard on June 10, 1967. Chances are you won't remember it, but it is a perky little tune with a Beach Boys/Gary Lewis & The Playboys kind of flavor. It really should have charted a lot higher ... at least made it to the Top 40.

My video is a three-part cavalcade of the slightly "off" in retro, from a creepy clown to a rather strange Santa (for the Christmas Holidays!) to female car hops dressed as elves dancing on the hoods of the customer's cars. Oh well, at least it is 2/3 seasonal, although the song is not. Ho ho ho!
