Years ago I wrote and recorded "The French Song" which ended up being his favorite of mine. One of the last texts I got from him was a screen grab of it playing on his iTunes with the note "I always love it when this one comes up on shuffle". Sadly, Tim decided to take his life last May and so we don't get to celebrate his birthday with him this year, but we are all thinking of him and missing him and so I wanted to make a little video to the song he loved, featuring reasons to live. Tim was of French and Persian decent and so I decided to shoot some footage in Paris, last month to use as well.

(This song came to me on a walk one morning. First the melody and then the words in French, even though I didn't speak French. As soon as I got home I wrote down the words in English and then translated them into French. When I recorded this, I didn't speak a word of French so my pronunciation is lacking, but the emotion is there!)
