I took a week in Belgrade mid-2018 to take in the mix of scenes. Brutal socialist facades in New Belgrade contrasted with art-nouveau backdrops and a traditional old town, and a buzzing nightlife melded with bold churches and devout people.
It might not be a city on the highlight reel of everyone’s European travels but makes for an interesting stop, with some of the warmest people I've met.
