Aviary Songs is a commentary on nature and freedom within an urban environment. Motion-activated speakers, placed throughout the installation, were loaded with both natural and synthetic sounds, as well as original music. Speakers were activated when visitors passed by, resulting in a soundscape that elicited a sense of wonder within the enclosed, meditative space.
