In the evening of February 18th there was a solar storm going on, but the weather forecast promised nothing but clouds to Ylläsjärvi in Finnish Lapland. To my surprise the sky cleared up after 10 PM and I quickly gathered my gear and headed outside. It seemed that I had missed already the best show, but around 00:30 the sky lit up and there was amazing show for about half an hour.
