Today is Pentecost Sunday, May 23, 2021. We are so glad you are worshiping with us online today.

We continue our series in Acts,” The Emerging Post-Pandemic Church.” Pastor Sweet’s message is on Acts 2:1-13, “All Together Now!” 

On Pentecost, the followers of Jesus were “all together in one place.” Sunday, there was a “rush of a violent wind.” The wind filled the house, and “divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them.” Can you imagine!

The Holy Spirit comes upon them and us. Pentecost changes everything; altogether, with one voice, they proclaim the greatness of God! Pentecost symbolizes a new beginning, and the Church rises to be good news in the world.

Music is lead by Chancel Choir, Chancel Bells and members of the congregation, and our Praise Team. The song “Awake” is meant to capture the violent sound of the rushing wind, and Gabriel Rudner’s arrangement of “Every Time I Feel the Spirit” captures the joy and freedom of the Spirit’s work among us.

And so we pray: "Come, Holy Spirit, come. Come as tongues of fire to enliven us. Come as sighs too deep for words to comfort us. Come as our Advocate to guide us. Come, Holy Spirit, come."
