Quinn Barrett has created a new career for herself as a rent-a-wife. Her clients are too busy, too stressed, too tired and too lonely to take care of their own lives. At some point each one of them has wailed out loud, “I need a Wife!” That’s where Quinn steps in, so they can step out.
She’s hyper-organized, focused, alert, thoughtful, resourceful… And she’s locked in a cage match with her own selfish nature, her self-doubt, and some very wobbly boundaries.
“Trouble and Strife” is a dramatic comedy about loneliness and need and intimacy, and how it’s easier to be a hero to other people’s lives than it is to be a hero in your own.
