My love for storytelling led me to independently produce 5 shows, in which I wrote, acted, edited; directed, produced and shot with my Cannon EOS Rebel T3i. After years of filming with this camera I’ve completely maxed out its potential. This has hindered my progress as an independent filmmaker.
Some say, it’s not about the camera, it’s about the person behind it that determines the quality of the story. This only holds true when measuring it on paper, but this isn’t exactly the case when trying to achieve a standard of excellence from a production standpoint. Upgrading my camera is vital to capturing the imagery for these stories in a way that allows me to not only meet industry standards but evolve as an independent filmmaker.
