This exhilarating, fun full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning and strength training with yoga, Pilates-inspired movements.
Pound Fitness classes in your living room are one of the most fun ways you’ll find to move your body and get the happy endorphins flowing. Usually we use Ripstix (weighted drumsticks - 200grams each and 40cm long) to hit in time to the beat of a variety of awesome music tracks… so you’ll need to find a good alternative. Suggestions are dowel, bamboo sticks (sometimes found in pot plants), kitchen utensils (long ones), normal drumsticks, paint brushes, or even just use your hands to clap to the beat.
It's an all over body workout which includes a series of squats, lunges and body movements to tone and strengthen your muscles including your core, increase your heart rate, improve balance, connect the mind to the body, and help you to destress - hitting the sticks (alternative) to the beat is very therapeutic.
