The final Minute Music Video. This one’s a little different and a lot simpler than the former ones, but by far the most special to me.
The place that spawned and inspired the foundation of everything of who I am and what I create. After over 16 years of making memories and growing within this space, this week my family cleared the house and moved out for good. Although I’ve been mostly away for the better part of over two and a half years, actually leaving my true home was something that took me a long while to wrap my head around.
“Ribs” by Lorde has been my favorite song of all time ever since I heard it for the first time over 5 years ago - a song that stops time when I press play and brings out the feelings of childhood and loss and laughter and warmth simultaneously. If you’re familiar with the song, you noticed that I actually slightly tweaked it for this video. I heard this dialogue in an episode of “Little Women” and it immediately hit something deep within me. I ripped it and custom mixed it into this track because it tied up everything I was feeling about the visuals, audio, and feelings encased in my last few moments in my childhood home.
Goodbye to the place I grew up in.
(I actually had an entirely different video planned for this song, but I decided to shoot a this new one yesterday on a whim. You’ll see something similar to this when I make my movie in the future. Remember this.)

These are projects made solely for the purpose of having fun and just creating; No judgement or input from anyone else, no fear of being weird, and no time to personally critique. Just me translating whatever is in my head when I hear the sounds that inspire me.
